How it Works

Offsite backup is accomplished by using one of two software clients. ITS One-Click is used for single systems and home office situations. ITS Online Backup Manager is designed for customers with more robust backup requirements. ITS Online Backup Manager includes robust features such as MySQL, MS SQL, MS Exchange Server and mailbox level backup, and Continuous Data Protection.  The software runs on most operating systems including Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. Both versions feature a web administration tool.  Restores can take place in the software, or via the web administration tool.

Secure Transit, Secure Storage

Having your data backed up off-site is only an effective practice if you can be guaranteed that your data is safe. The ITS online backup software transfers your data via the internet from your computer(s) to our Iowa data center. Before leaving your computer(s) the data is encrypted with 128 bit AES encryption using a passcode of your choice. The transmission of data takes place via an SSL tunnel. The data remains encrypted on our servers. The data is only decrypted during a restore operation. Our data vaulting servers are backed up by servers in secondary location, to ensure redundancy.
