How does Managed Services work?
Managed Services provide a cost-effective method of monitoring, managing and protecting all of your district’s desktops, laptops, servers, routers, virtual machines, and much more; through a secure internet connection, one single piece of software, and the skill-set of a dedicated and well-rounded service team.
An appliance named BOB is installed on your network and provides eyes and ears on devices and processes 24 x 7 x 365. BOB also supports data backup, storing data on the BOB appliance itself and sending critical data offsite to our secure data center in Monticello, Iowa. All of BOB’s monitoring information can be viewed through a secure internet connection, allowing ITS to remotely and proactively support all of your networked devices.
K-12 technology directors and school administrators alike appreciate our Managed Services because of our generous onsite support and our pay-per-user policy. The constant monitoring of your technology assets and predictable pricing for support allows you to reduce and optimize your IT spending, and plan for upgrades and new hardware proactively. School staff use our helpdesk ticket system, available by website, phone or email, to notify ITS of any machine issues outside of the alert system. ITS technicians work remote-first and onsite if necessary to remedy the situation. Managed Firewall Services
If your District technology team is able to support staff and student devices in-house, but just needs some oversight and guidance regarding network security and content filters, our Security-as-a-Service option might be a great fit for you! In this model, ITS manages URL blacklists and whitelists on your firewall and manages threats and installs updates to ensure the latest security threats are addressed.
