Welcome to the annual Monster Mile and Monster Dash! This event opens Monticello’s annual Treats on the Streets in Downtown, Monticello Iowa. This year, the event will be held on October 24, 2019.
Event Details
Families participating in the Monster Mile and Monster Dash gather in the library parking lot before 4:20. A waiver is required for participants. Participants will be marked with a sticker to indicate that their waiver was collected. Waivers are available in advance at the library, online here, or in the library parking lot on race day. The race begins at 4:30; we walk as a group to our start line in front of the Monticello Express.
Participants are encouraged to bring a donation for the food pantry as their entry fee.
The course runs along a closed course (thanks to our many volunteers!).
All finishers receive a goody bag from our event sponsors. The top three boy and girl finishers in the Monster Mile also receive a special award.
