Infinias access control solutions have been time tested and preferred by building security, maintenance and IT staff in schools and businesses year after year.
Your infinias door controllers can read data from specific Outlook and Google calendars, and use scheduled events to direct the access schedule for your doors and/or users. For schools, churches and businesses, this provides more automaticity in door access, as many after-hours and special events are already placed in an activities calendar. Simply schedule a meeting in Outlook or your Google Calendar with the correct location, and rules setup in the infinias software will setup the lock/unlock schedule and user access in the background.
The infinias Rules Engine allows you to create the multiple levels of door access for users, groups, doors and schedules. The infinias Rules Engine consists of three main concepts: events, filtering and actions. Every event that takes place, whether triggered by door access via the controller, door manipulation, or mobile app access, is checked to see if one or more rules apply to that event. Rules are impacted by filters: what schedule are we currently running? What group is the user in? What zone is the door in? What type of event was it? Based on the event and the filter, action is taken. The action may unlock/lock the door for the user. It may send an alert to maintenance or security staff. The event could trigger an alarm, or merely log the event in the events page.
Mobile credentials allow you to provision door permissions through infinias cloud, and register users through a mobile app. Mobile Credentials requires an additional security step – users must be able to unlock their phone with their selected phone protocol (facial scan, thumbprint, passcode, etc.) and also have permissions granted through the door controller setup. This creates a multi-factor authentication protocol for your doors.
